Hats off to Haiti!
The fundraiser we held to raise money for the Red Cross to assist the
victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti was a huge success.
Our kids paid 50 cents a day for a week to wear hats to school and, as a result,
our Thurston Elementary raised 683.09 for the Red Cross.
Due to the efforts of one of our parents, Summer Highfill, who issued press releases,
we had KMTR at our school on 3/9 to broadcast the
acceptance of our donation to the Red Cross.  Here is the link to KMTR's broadcast - Click on "Hats off to them!" on the left to view the broadcast: KMTR Broadcast.
The Springfield Times also ran an article about it.  Here's the link to that article: Springfield Times Article.
And hats off to our kids and parents for their efforts and contributions!!

A Family for Every Child / Heart Gallery

A Family for Every Child/Heart Gallery is only 3 year old. Our mission is simple, to get children out to foster care and into adoptive homes. After this short time we have helped over 200 children move through our Galleries and Website on to their own "Forever Families" and out of foster care. We have matched over 50 older foster children with mentors that commit to them and allow them not to age out of foster care alone at 18.  We have worked over 40 cases with 60 kids in our Family Finding program. This programs goal is to reconnect foster children to lost connections and those that loved them.  There is not one case we have not been able to find connection, placement, pictures and medical information.

Just in the last 6 months we have seen children on our web site move faster then anyone in the system has seen before, some as quickly as 4 or 5 days.  We receive over 1500 inquiries on our children from families nationwide each month.

In the last 9 months we have grown from 1 to 14 employee's and currently work with over 400 Oregon foster children through all of our permanency programs.
