The PTA organizes a variety of fundraising activities to raise funds for classroom and school wide activities. Field trips, Battle of the Books, community service programs, music programs, assemblies, and a variety of other school programs and activities are all made possible through the fundraising efforts of the PTA. By supporting these efforts, you are helping to enrich every child's experience
at Thurston Elementary School.

SAFEWAY CLUB CARDS (eScrip)
Register your Safeway Club Card and every time you use it, a percentage of your purchase goes to the school - it's that easy!

CHEETAH APPAREL

POPCORN DAYS
Several
Fridays throughout the year, the PTA sells popcorn to the students for 25 cents
a bag or a combination of 12 Campbell's labels, Box Tops and/or My Coke Rewards
Points.
BOX TOPS
Box
Tops for Education is a program that donates 10 cents for every box top mailed
in by a school. Box Top coupons are found on the packaging for
hundreds of products and all you have to do is clip the coupons and turn them
into the school office. 10 cents doesn't sound like a lot, but the Box
Tops program raises hundreds of dollars for the school every year! Click here

CAMPBELL'S LABELS
Campbell's
Labels for Education is a program that provides points in exchange for the
labels from participating Campbell's products. These points can be used

be used to purchase a bag of popcorn on Popcorn Days!
INK CARTRIDGE & CELL PHONE RECYCLING
Don't throw away your used ink catridges or old cell phones - turn them in to the school! We will recycle these items for you and earn money or products for the school. Just drop these items in the box located in the Community/PTA room next to the library and across from the office. MY COKE REWARDS PROGRAM
TES is now participating in the My Coke Rewards program that is an easy and FREE fundraiser. Throughout the year you can go to http://mycokerewards.com and register the codes found on participating coke products with our school, or NEW this year, use them to by popcorn on popcorn Fridays. 12 codes = 1 bag of popcorn. We will also have a collection bottle in front of the PTA communication board right next to the office. In return we will be able to redeem those points for such items as art supplies, sports gear and educational resources.
SCRIP - GIFT CARDSThurston Elementary does many fundraisers throughout the year, and one of these fundraisers is the scrip program. This program occurs throughout the entire year. Every other month an order form will come home with your child. This order form will list a variety of businesses that are available for you to purchase gift cards. We order the gift cards at a discounted rate and sell them for face value. With this fundraiser we are not asking you to spend any extra money! This is an opportunity for you to sit down and make a budget for the month. For example, you can figure out approximately how much money you will spend on gas and buy a gas gift card, you can figure out how much money you would spend at Walmart on supplies and buy a gift card, or you can plan your next date night and buy a gift card to a restaurant. This is a terrific way to not spend any extra money, but at the same time help the school out. Also, it is a great way to buy gifts for friends and family. Look ahead at the calendar and buy gift cards for birthdays and holidays. You will be so organized and on time, your friends will be impressed!
Last year we made almost $700 with the scrip program. We are asking for everyone to look over the order form when it comes home, and take the time to think about what you will be purchasing within the next month. If we had more people participating in the scrip program, we might be able to eliminate one of our other fundraisers! And the best part about this fundraiser is you don't spend any extra money!!!

MEMBERSHIPWhen you sign up to join the PTA, $2.50 of your $12 membership fees go directly to our PTA. The other $9.50 goes to the National PTA organization which provides valuable resources to schools and communities nationwide. BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP
Many businesses in our community sponsor TES PTA every year. Their sponsorship of $50 to $100 a year go directly to school programs and activities and in return, businesses get advertising on this website and in our online monthly newsletter. SCHEDULED FUNDRAISERS
ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS SALE - September 23rd - October 4th
The Entertainment book sale is another important fundraiser that brings in thousands of dollars each year for the PTA. Entertainment books offer hundreds of valuable coupons for entertainment, travel, retail and restaurants.
OTTIS SPUNKMEYER COOKIE DOUGH SALE - October 27th - November 15th
Ottis Spunkmeyer is back this year with a variety of cookie dough! Frozen cookie dough is a perfect thing to purchase and keep on hand for the holidays. Fresh baked cookies make a great gift or treat to serve or bring to a holiday party!
PAPA'S PIZZA NIGHTS -
This year we have scheduled three fundraiser nights with Papa's Pizza on Main street. All you have to do is have a night out with the family at Papa's Pizza on the nights we schedule and 50% of your pizza purchase will be donated to our PTA. These Papa's Pizza nights raise hundreds of dollars for the PTA.
You must bring the flyer that will be sent home with your kids with you for the school to get credit for your purchase! Look for the flyer to be sent home during the week prior to each Papa Pizza Night or click on the dates above to get the flyer for that date.
JOG-A-THON - June 4th
The Jog-A-Thon is not only a big fundraiser, but it's also makes fitness fun for every student involved. Last year's Jog-a-Thon raised thousands of dollars for the school and exceeded our expectations. This year, we expect the Jog-a-Thon to be even better!
FAMILY FUN NIGHT - May 18th
Family Fun Night is THE event of the year and the PTA is committed to making this year's FFN even better! If you're interested in being a part of the planning committee, email April Uffens at AprilUffens@ThurstonPTA.com.
