New Year, New Logo, New Apparel!
We're excited about our new logo and our new line of apparel.
This year's line of high-quality t-shirts and sweatshirts feature
a white and red logo on black fabric in child and adult sizes.


We're also offering cinch sacks in red and black nylon with a white logo.
We will have items available for sale at Back-To-School night and

 Officer Introductions 

April Uffens – President

Hello everyone!  My name is April Uffens and this will be my third year as your PTA President.  My main PTA responsibilities are developing the online newsletter each month, family & business memberships, Entertainment Book fundraiser, organizing Splash & Skate World nights and overseeing Family Fun Night.  My husband Eric and I were born and raised here in Thurston.  Our son, Carson (second grader) loves to play Thurston Football and our daughter Elesha (sophomore) enjoys competing on the THS OHSET team.  I also work part-time as a hair stylist/aesthetician.  I am very excited to be working again this year with our other elected officers. Each are extremely motivated and committed to our PTA efforts.  Please allow me to introduce these lovely ladies to you….

Toni Webb – Vice President

My name is Toni Webb, I have been involved in TES PTA for 5 years and this will be my second year as VP.  This year I plan to work on and organize the Sally Foster/Cookie Dough fundraiser, our three PTA Holiday Parties (Fall Harvest, Valentine's, Spring Party), Papa's Pizza Nights, and Popcorn Fridays.  My son, Seth, will be in 4rd grade this year and my son, Zane, will be in 1st grade this year.  I'm looking forward to another fun and exciting year with TES PTA!

  Jade Neckels – Treasurer 

  My name is Jade Neckels and this will be my second year as Treasurer.  In addition to my normal Treasurer duties, I will also continue to manage the PTA website and organize the Jog-A-Thon.  I'm a busy working mom with a full time job as the Accounting and IT Manager for a manufacturing company in Eugene.  My husband, Nathan, and I have lived in the Thurston area for four years with our son, Devon, who will be a second grader this year and our daughter, Skylar, who will be attending her second year of preschool.  I'm excited to be a continuing part of the Thurston Elementary PTA and the contributions it makes to our school and the community.

 Sherry Cantlen – Secretary

My name is Sherry Cantlen and this is my second year as PTA Secretary.  Along with my secretarial duties I am in charge of the Box Tops and Campbell’s Labels programs as well as TES apparel.  My son TJ is a Third Grader this year and my son Sean will be a Kindergartener.   I enjoy being involved at TES a great deal and look forward to another wonderful and productive year at the school working with students and staff.
